她從八歲就去了英國,英文超級標準,最喜歡他唱英文歌,
慵懶的歌聲加上她獨特的唱腔
與可愛的外表 是我認定的NO.1

Astrud自然不做作、略帶生澀稚氣和略帶葡萄牙語腔的歌聲來唱
The Girl From Ipanema可說是是絕佳的安排，
表現出歌詞裡一種淡淡的哀愁和南美風情---

在巴西的首都里約熱內盧(Rio de Janeiro)有一處叫做Ipanema 的海灘，Jobim就住在這一帶；Jobim和一位作詞家Vinicius de Moraes常耗在當地Rua Montenegro(街名，應該是「黑山街」之意)一家名叫"Veloso" 的酒吧。他們每天都會看到一位美麗的高中女孩在放學時從酒吧前經過，因而激發了兩人的靈感而寫出了一首歌叫"Garota de Ipanema"，翻成英文就是"The girl from Ipanema"。這位十八歲的女孩名叫Heloisa Pinheiro，那時是1962年。這首歌寫出了男生看到令人驚豔的美女從眼前走過的遐想，看了它的歌詞的話，我想可能有不少男生會有會心一笑。

巴西作曲家Antonio Carlos Jobim和吉他手Joao Gilberto在1950年代末聽到來自美國的酷派爵士樂(Cool Jazz)，
他們將酷派爵士的特色與巴西當地的森巴(Samba)音樂結合，
產生了一種柔和、浪漫的新型態音樂-- "Bossa Nova(可譯為new way)"，並在巴西開始受到歡迎。
